ITSF awarded GAISF observer status
In the name of the International Table Soccer Federation (ITSF) and all voluntaries involved, I am very pleased to announce that we have received GAISF (Global Association of International Sport Federations) - https://gaisf.org/ - observer status.
This is a new and important step for our sport and for table soccer.
We will work closely with GAISF to increase our members in various countries around the globe, organize a serious anti-doping program, work with federations to have them get the required recognition by their National Olympic Committee or by their highest national sports authorities.
The observer status is a preliminary step. Becoming a full member will require full cooperation between ITSF and GAISF, between federations and their national sport authorities.
ITSF will take part in international forums and conventions to learn and share knowledge with other international federations.
I am convinced that we will reach this goal all together. It is starting now.

ITSF obtient le statut d'observateur de la GAISF
Au nom de la Fédération internationale de football de table (ITSF) et de tous les bénévoles impliqués, j’ai l’honneur de vous annoncer que nous sommes dorénavant reconnus comme observateur de la GAISF (Association globale des fédérations sportives internationales) https://gaisf.org/
Il s’agit d’une avancée majeure pour notre sport et pour le football de table.
Nous allons travailler en étroite collaboration avec la GAISF pour accroître notre présence dans de nombreux pays, mettre en place un programme sérieux de lutte contre le dopage, accompagner les fédérations afin qu’elles puissent être reconnues par leur comité olympique national et/ou par les autorités sportives du pays.
Le statut d’observateur n’est qu’une première étape. L’obtention du statut de membre régulier demandera une coopération totale entre l’ITSF et la GAISF, entre les fédérations et les autorités sportives nationales.
L’ITSF participera aux conventions et forums internationaux pour apprendre et partager ses connaissances avec les autres fédérations internationales de sport.
Je suis convaincu que nous allons atteindre ce but ensemble. Le travail commence dès maintenant.

Este es un nuevo e importante paso para nuestro deporte y para el fútbol de mesa.
Trabajaremos estrechamente con la AGFIS para aumentar nuestros socios en diversos países de todo el mundo, organizaremos un serio programa antidopaje, trabajaremos con las federaciones para ayudarlas a conseguir el reconocimiento de su Comité Olímpico Nacional o por la más alta autoridad deportiva nacional.

Bulgaria will host the fisrt edition of a special team competition: JUNIOR INTERCUP CHALLENGE 2017 which will be held in Sofia, 06-07 October. The teams of Germany, Romania and Bulgaria will race to win the Challenge trophy and become the winner team of the event. Many special events will be part of the whole competition:
INVITATIONAL VIP DINNER
All the Junior players and their coaches are invited to a special VIP dinner. It will be held on Friday 06/10 and the participants in the Junior Interchallenge Cup 2017 will be presented with their tournament sport outfit and welcomed by the hosts of the event.
NEW TABLE: THE BEAST
The new ITSF Recognised table: BEAST will be presented at the tournament. The table is the new official table of Ekaterina Atanasova, presented by the German Ullrich Company. All matches at the Jagoar Intercup Challenge 2017 will be played on the newly introduced tables.
GUESTS OF HONOUR
Special honours to the Invitational dinner will be the President of the German Table Soccer Federation and Chairman of the Youth Commission - Klaus Gottesleben (GER). In addition - the President of the Bulgarian Snooker Federation - Mr. Oleg Velinov (BGR). Ekaterina Atanasova, currently ranked as number 1 in the World Ranking and host of the event, will welcome and present all the teams.
DEMONSTRATION MATCH
Friday evening will be the time for the special demonstrational match between the VIP media partners and the junior players! We will see who will win the pro-am table soccer contest!

During the VIP DInner all the junior participants will be presented - they will receive thier special team outfit, made exclusively for the Tournament. In addition a hired phoographer will take care of the photos of the juniors.

Op de donderdag 14 sept. werd de Champions League voor clubteams uitgespeeld waarbij voor Nederland de NTVB kampioen TVC De Hakkers aan de start kwam. Na het reeds ontbreken van de twee basisspelers Yves Biermans en Maurice Boersma was het op het allerlaatste moment afhaken van enkelspecialist Jeffrey Swinkels voor De Hakkers teveel om op te vangen. Na een overtuigende zege in de 1e wedstrijd tegen Czaras Hoolba uit Tjsechie (21-15) volgden 3 nederlagen tegen resp. Foosballeur uit Zwitserland (11-21), Les Gladiateurs Montreuil uit Frankrijk (19-21) en TFC Pielachtal uit Oostenrijk (17-21). Zeker het ontbreken van een echte enkelspeler brak De Hakkers op omdat hierbij per wedstrijd toch wel altijd zo'n 12 tot 15 goals verloren gingen. Gezien het meest geringe verlies tegen de Fransen (20-20 is gelijk) en het feit dat ze de laatste wedstrijd nog met 17-13 hadden voorgestaan erg jammer. De kwartfinale werd dan ook niet bereikt terwijl dit met een compleet team zeker mogelijk en ook waarschijnlijk was geweest.
Op het daarop volgende WCS Leonhart dat van vrijdag t/m zondag werd gespeeld werden door de Nederlanders echter zeer goede en verrassende resultaten behaald!
Op hun 1e internationale toernooi (!) wist het koppel Piet Senden/Horst Meisters meteen hun visitekaartje af te geven met een 2e plaats in de Senioren Dubbel en zelfs een 1e plaats in de Senioren Speedball Dubbel!
In de Dames Classic Dubbel ging het goud naar het voortreffelijk spelend koppel Mechtilde Wijers/Amber Starren. Fijn om te zien dat na het koppel Moenen/Moenen ook nu weer Nederlandse dames zich met de internationale top kunnen meten!
Verder haalde Henk Habets met zijn engelse partner Rob Atha de halve finale in de Open Speedball Dubbel en de finale in de Open Classic Dubbel. Omdat het toernooi op zondag echter uitgelopen was en zijn partner zijn vliegtuig moest halen moesten deze partijen opgegeven worden en eindigde hij officieel als resp. 4e en 2e in deze disciplines.
Bovendien zijn de prestaties van Mark Dost zeker het vernoemen waard. Weliswaar net buiten de prijzen, maar wel in de sterkst bezette disciplines, veroverde hij aan de zijde van Rick Wensink een 5e plaats in de Open Dubbel en met de belgische Ellen van Onckelen zelfs een 4e plek in de Mixed.
Tenslotte werden nog enkele goede klasseringen behaald door Joey van Dijk (5e in Junioren Enkel), Jo Franssen (5e in Senioren Enkel)en Frenk Kuhtreiber/Jo Franssen (5e in Senioren Classic Dubbel).
Al met al, voor de Nederlanders een succesvol toernooi waaraan door meer dan 500 spelers werd deelgenomen.

The Table Soccer App is a free mobile app for iPhone and Android that has the purpose to create a unified worldwide database of places to play table soccer and the purpose to empower local communities, table manufacturers, foosball promoters and everyone who loves this sport.

World Cup 2019:
The next World Cup Edition will take place in Spain in 2019. Here are some important points about the competition:
World Championship 2019:
The World Championships will host a new category at the World Championship: Mixed Doubles. The best National mixed teams will be entitled a right to take part in the 2019 World Championships; In addition a new ITSF Mixed doubles World Ranking will be introduced in season 2018; No Official Speedball discipline will be scheduled at the next World Championship as this disciplicne will be separated into a separate World Speedball Championship which will take place as a separate event. The Speedball rules will be revised and officially published for season 2018 thus making the style more interesting for all the parities - players, audience etc.The document describing "How players qualify for the 2019 World Championships" is now online here.
TST System:
ITSF has been using a special handles system for its high ranked tournaments called TST Handle System. It provides the players with the possibility to have a TST handle of their choice and integrate it on the tournament table before each match.
However ITSF would like to expand the possibilities for the players and is looking for a
innovative & easier handles system. All companies (included TST) can work on this project and submit information and proposals to ITSF. If no satisfying solution is foundnd by the end of 2018, all tables will be played with the standard handles of each table (apart Bonzini where people will have to use the “Bonzini handles”).
ITSF Inter Continental Cup:
Following the ITSF Tournament Calendar, the ITSF InterContinental Cup will be played in 2018. This time it will be hosted in Las Vegas (USA) in March.The ICC event is one of the most prestigeous events in the ITSF SPorts Calendar. It will be held intwo categories - men and women. In each category there will be a team representing its Cоntinent trying to defetе its opponents. Each team will be entitled with a coach to take care about the fomration, the playing and all the matter concerning the team and its interests.
ITSF World Masters:
The ITSF World Maters is an event that presents all the Top players all over the World!
This event will take place in 2018 on the same week-end as the Intercontinental Cup means the 9th March 2018.
Prize money will be distributed for the top 3 in Men and Women category.
Men: 1st 1 500 €, 2nd 1 000 €, 3rd 500 €
Women: 1st 1000 €, 2nd 600 €, 3rd 400 €
For this edition, all players will receive ne entitled to a travel package in order to help them to come to Las Vegas.
- All players coming from outside of North America, there will be 400 € of travel package.
- And for a player coming from North America, there will be 200 €.
In total, prize money + travel package comprise about 15 000€ (12 000 € in 2016).
