It seems to the ITSF that the Foos-community is emerging stronger from that crisis, and today we are delighted to make an announcement concerning the restart of our sports activities.
The ITSF president unveiled the dates of the next World Cup this afternoon during the setting up of a foosball table in a school as part of the "100 Foosball Tables for Schools" project.
So, save your dates now, the next World Cup will be held in Nantes, one year from today, starting on Tuesday the 28th of June until the 03rd of July 2022 !

Save the date !
After many canceled and postponed tournaments due to the global sanitary crisis, the World Series by Leonhart will finally be held from 02 to 05th September 2021 in St Wendel, Germany. Registration is open from now on and until the 26th August 2021 included ! The players information file is currently online, you can refer to it with this link in the "Infopackage" section.

[ LET'S FOOS - EC Foosball Challenge ]

« We want to get together again for the European Soccer Cup 2021 and be connected by playing foosball together. Whether before, during or after the soccer match: round up your crew and play a tournament with our app. At the end, we will give away a "Compact" foosball table from Ullrich and the model "Sport" from Leonhart.
First: Play a free LET'S FOOS tournament (possible on each of the 22 matchdays of the European Cup).
Secondly, and more importantly : you can become the "oracle" for the teams of the European Cup. When you start a LET'S FOOS tournament, you choose your favourite soccer team at the beginning and all the goals you score go to that country's account.

We originally wanted to attempt the world record in June during the European Soccer Cup 2021, because playing foosball and football have similarities as getting together.

[ Worldwide Record Attempt 2021 - LET’S FOOS ]
The “Kickerbus” (foosball van) is visiting foosball and public locations around Germany until the world record attempt on 26/27 of August. Congratulations to the Armenian Table Soccer Federation and to its President, Mr Gor Avetisyan for their commitment to develop Table Soccer in Armenia!
Table Soccer is now officially recognised as a Sport by the Armenian National Olympic Committee. The Armenian Table Soccer Federation strives to further unite the national table soccer community and lead it into a common future. Armenian's foosball community is obviously an incredible asset for the development of Table Soccer in the world and this is something the ITSF is very thankful for.

With a heavy heart: We are postponing the world record attempt. The original date in June is too early. In many countries, the pandemic continues to rage unrestrained. In Germany, things are improving and the vaccination campaign is making progress. But will we be able to get together around the table in June with the intended small groups? Unclear. We don't want to endanger anyone, and we don't want anyone to feel unsafe playing foosball.
The new date for the worldwide 24h record attempt in table soccer:
August 26, 8pm (CET), until August 27, 2021, 8pm.

The new team of the TAC is composed of Julian Timnev (President), Abbas Babapour, Wolfgang Breuer, Frederico Cappa, Karsten Kuckhoff, Christophe Lerat, Franco Lupusella, Elli McDonald and Brittany McDonald
The main task the commission has is to provide support and guidance to foosball tournament organisers all around the world.

The official category is "MOST PEOPLE PLAYING TABLE SOCCER (DIFFERENT VENUES, 24 HOURS)".
The minimum requirement for the first attempt in June is: 250 participants in 50 different locations. Can we do it?
The Record Institute Germany has been a partner of the largest table soccer tournament “SKC in Hamburg” since 2017. Now we want to reach the next level together with all foosball players: playing table soccer worldwide and simultaneously! And by the way, each participant will receive a certificate, so stay tuned!

The Referees online meeting is coming up next tuesday. Oliver Schlancke and Franco Lupusella from the ITSF Referees Commision will introduce to federations’ delegates the Referees Commission goals, its projects, and the requested involvement from federations.
This Referees online meeting is on April, 20th 2021 at 5PM (CET).
